I KILL ZOMBIES

Description: I Kill Zombies is an arena zombie-killing game; however, it isn’t limited to that alone. There are objectives, like killing a specific number of a particular zombie type, as well as escape missions and survival missions. There are tons of traps peppered all over the levels, too, and these traps kill the zombies also, which is fun. In fact, there is a mission where your objective is to guide the zombies to the traps. Again, though, there are problems. The AI pathfinding is already suspect in itself, but what really bothers me is that sometimes the zombies don’t get killed even if they do get caught in the traps.

This Mini is content-heavy. There are achievements, unlockable characters, unlockable mini-games (that get inserted between the campaign levels for variety) and a sound test. The mini-games are really fun, too, and add much to the game’s value. There is also an unlockable Survival Mode for those endurance players.

KNIGHT FORTIX

Storyline: In Fortix 2, players take control of Sir Fortix, whose aim is to conquer 35 castles in order to liberate the land of Artalom from the curse of evil mage, Xitrof. Each castle is placed on it's own unique map, the overall aim being to reach the castle in the middle and lift it's curse. Fencing off the surrounding areas of land allows Sir Fortix to move around freely, changing the game world in the process; wastelands become lush landscapes, and bloodthirsty dragons become seed-picking pigeons. Meanwhile, freeing cursed catapults and power-up spells rewards players with special abilities and attacks, adding a wicked risk/reward facet to Fortix 2's gameplay structure.

Description: Farting, bloating, sugar rush, obesity, vomiting. Our latest educational game, Nom Nation for Channel 4 Education has at last been released on PSN. It seems to have taken an eternity to see the game finally launch. We started the project over a year ago, producing a flash game using the flixel engine, creating an original group of characters and storyline, a vast amount of pixel animations and tile sheets and lots of large levels to enjoy.

We then ported the whole lot in-house to PSP. At the same time we've also ported a version to iPhone, iPad and iPodTouch. With the best intention in the world we hoped for them all to go live at the same time but we'll settle for a PSN release first. The web version and iOS versions are so very close too. Each version has different aspect ratios and control methods to deal with so it's been quite an undertaking.

We've started distributing PSN review codes to some online sites so if there are any review sites reading this, just drop us a line and we can send a review code too. So far we've seen it described on one post as a 'peculiar looking platformer' which made us laugh, we'll take that as a compliment as it really is full of some very unusual powerups based upon the effects of food on the human body. Not ones you'd usually see in consumer games. Being a little odd is not a bad way to get noticed but we know it has to stand alone with some good gameplay too.
